: Unknown but I believe it is a silver alloy of some kind as was most of this style of jewelry.
CONDITION
:
The piece includes what appears to be the original patina and finish. I have never cleaned or polished it in the years that I have owned it. The surface finish is uneven with darker and lighter areas across the finish which is common for this style of jewelry in addition there are scuff/abrasion marks and miscellaneous wear throughout the finish. The beads also include miscellaneous dents and wear and shown in the photos. There are 9 round settings in which jewels would have originally been but the stones are no longer present. Regarding the beaded chain components, below is a list of the approximate totals by components including missing pieces. Please see photos for condition details.
The neck band includes 25 attached hoops from which the beaded chains hang. 2 of the attached hoops have nothing attached to them.
There are approximately 33 total “figure 8” wire components at the top of the dangle components, 2 of which no longer include the remaining chain/beads.
There are 10 of the figure 8 wire components that include a single bell bead only.
There are 9 long chain components with bead bells at the end.
There are 11 long chain components that include the larger cylindrical bead and remaining chain and bead components.
There is 1 long chain component that includes the larger cylindrical bead with no remaining components at the end.
