Engine Company 272 Fire Company
Officer’s Journal
This Journal from Engine 272 was kept in the Engine Company office.
The Officer had to log in the Journal all
activities of the Company.
When they responded to an alarm, when they returned to quarters,
the responding and returning names of fireman.
What activities were performed by the company and all injuries,
if any and who ordered the company to return to quarters.
This Journal is in good condition for it’s age,
tape between cover and front and back page.
Not normally available ( like the Company House Watch Journal).
It covers Feb. 16,1912 thru Jan. 14, 1926
The Journal measures 14 1/4 x 9 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches.
It weighs 8 lbs. and has 799 pages.
